DESCRIPTION:Attended by Gordon Gielis – Technical Director. \nAs part of the annual World of Watson event\, IBM hosted a seminar on IoT Developments using Informix on the Edge Device. \nIoT Billing was asked to demonstrate its Device Management Solution and how  that integrates with IBM BlueMix and then to the IoT Billing Selcomm Billing and Customer Care Engine. \nMuch of the interest centred around the ease with which the two platform integrated\, and the consequent ease with which Users could add devices and have them configured\, managed and accounted of through the Selcomm Platform.

DESCRIPTION:Attended by Gavin Nour (MD) and John Cunningham (Director International Sales & Marketing) this was our initial foray into the European conference scene. \nThe event was quite outstanding\, generating many leads and reinforcing to us the need for our solution in even highly developed markets like the UK and Europe – we’ll be back in 2017. \nThe IoT is considered to be one of the most significant sources of global growth in the coming years because of the way it will change how people live\, work and travel\, as well as how governments and businesses interact with the world.  The event programme itself acts as a mirror on the ecosystems of organisations\, services and solutions emerging around the IoT. \nThe program brings together roughly 200 of the world’s global thought leaders to discuss how the IoT is deployed\, managed\, secured and best utilised to shape the future of organisational operations and big data analytics. \nHere is a selection of photos showing Gavin and John at work on the stand\, and Gavin being interviewed for the Expo publicity. \n    \nGavin is being interviewed and then John and Gavin are working the stand.  We had a constant stream of visitors for the entire two days. \n

It has a long history in Smart Metering\, Smart Grid strategies\, and Billing/CRM. Energy retailers\, distributors and water utilities will meet to exchange ideas on evolving business models\, innovative technologies and project experiences as well as evaluating (joint) cooperation opportunities and new synergies between the electric and water utility industries. The event is a one-stop-shop for regional utilities looking for the best strategies and solutions for making their utility operations more reliable\, efficient and\, ultimately\, customer friendly. \nFor 2015\, we are dedicated to help promote Smart Grid architecture in both the electrical and water space\, and related hot issues such as smart sensor management\, customer engagement\, residential solar and storage and the impacts of these changes on utility business models. This is our 13th year\, we are Australia’s longest running dedicated ICT-Data focused utility conference and expo.
